News: Kanye West, T-Pain & Akon Drafted For Negro League Aid Compilation.

Category: By Miro
Mega superstars Kanye West, T-Pain, Akon, Rick Ross and others have teamed up for a Negro League benefit disc set to drop this fall.

According to Billboard, Stadium Entertainment will be releasing True to the Game as one of the most highly featured albums coming out this year, that will serve to benefit the 18 year-old Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas, Missouri.

“This is a legal mixtape on steroids,” company head Camille Barbone said “This record has a diverse flow with G-rated lyrics. Some of the songs were recorded especially for this project, and some had already been written. And we wanted to make it a win-win by pairing emerging acts and protégés with well-known acts.”

Among the up-and-coming artists on the disc include T-Pain protege Tay Dizm who appears alongside the singer and Rick Ross on “Beam Me Up.” This will be the album’s first single as Stadium Entertainment has signed a licensing deal with the Pain’s Nappy Boy Digital label for the song’s release. Also making appearances on the album are popular artists Mario, Yung Joc, Chingy and GLC. True to the Game is set to drop on October 21 on Pyramid/Fontana/Universal Records.
