Category: By Miro
*AM updated his Facebook status, calling himself 'the luckiest guy alive.'*
Less than a week after the plane crash that took the lives of four people and seriously injured DJ AM and Travis Barker, DJ AM has been released from the Doctors Hospital in Georgia and is returning to Los Angeles, according to his publicist.

"While he is deeply saddened by the events, he is thankful for all of the love and support he has been receiving from fans and friends worldwide," the rep said. "We ask that you continue to respect his privacy as he rests and heals and mourns the loss of his friends."

While no official news has been released about Travis Barker, who was also injured in the crash, Jermaine Dupri commented to People.com about his condition, saying that Barker will be released from the hospital in "about two weeks."

On Tuesday, Barker was reportedly trying to stay optimistic after multiple surgeries related to the crash, friend Bill Nosal told The Associated Press.

"If you make it out of a crash of that magnitude, somebody's looking out for you," said Nosal, who is also the spokesperson for Barker's clothing company, Famous Stars and Straps. "He's trying to stay upbeat." Read More...

News: Kanye West, T-Pain & Akon Drafted For Negro League Aid Compilation.

Category: By Miro
Mega superstars Kanye West, T-Pain, Akon, Rick Ross and others have teamed up for a Negro League benefit disc set to drop this fall.

According to Billboard, Stadium Entertainment will be releasing True to the Game as one of the most highly featured albums coming out this year, that will serve to benefit the 18 year-old Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas, Missouri.

“This is a legal mixtape on steroids,” company head Camille Barbone said “This record has a diverse flow with G-rated lyrics. Some of the songs were recorded especially for this project, and some had already been written. And we wanted to make it a win-win by pairing emerging acts and protégés with well-known acts.”

Among the up-and-coming artists on the disc include T-Pain protege Tay Dizm who appears alongside the singer and Rick Ross on “Beam Me Up.” This will be the album’s first single as Stadium Entertainment has signed a licensing deal with the Pain’s Nappy Boy Digital label for the song’s release. Also making appearances on the album are popular artists Mario, Yung Joc, Chingy and GLC. True to the Game is set to drop on October 21 on Pyramid/Fontana/Universal Records.
